In 2025, Regilio and Lucas started building Checkly for Locavore NXT — a renowned restaurant hub in Ubud, Bali. The challenge was clear: manage attendance, shifts, and HR operations across a growing hospitality group without tools that fit how business actually works here.

Existing HR platforms were either too complex, too expensive, or not built for the reality of running multi-location businesses in the region — flexible shift patterns, diverse contract types, and a workforce that moves between venues. So we built our own.

What started as an internal tool for Locavore NXT quickly became something bigger. With plans to expand across Locavore Group outlets, the platform had to scale — and it did. Icha, HR Manager at Locavore Group, joined the team to bring her deep operational expertise. Her years of hands-on HR work shape every feature we ship.

Today, Checkly is a comprehensive HR platform covering attendance tracking, shift scheduling, leave management, payroll, and reporting. Every feature was built alongside real operations — no bloat, no shortcuts, just the tools your team actually needs.
